askdiversityincQ: Which companies have a robust and interesting website for diversity?

A: A few diversity websites that we’ve encountered over the years really stand out.  When we look for outstanding diversity websites, we are looking beyond images (at this point). We look for:

  • Clear messaging and commitment from the top
  • Position of the page, not hidden several clicks from the homepage or located under the umbrella of community development or “careers” (although multiple venues to the diversity page would appropriately place links from these pages)
  • Goals and progress
  • Rewards and corporate successes
  • Video testimonials and success stories (mentees and mentors, utilization of employee-resource groups)
  • Publicly shared annual diversity report
  • Pages dedicated to employee-resource groups

Otherwise, the site should be clean, simple and regularly maintained.

Finally, check out Sodexo’s diversity page and overarching corporate website
